Mountain snow & valley Golf White mountains NH

It may be time to start thinking of a southern golf trip, because we watched it snow while teeing up at the Mount  Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods New Hampshire today.

Sand trap up front - Snowing on the 6,300 foot tall Mt Washington behind.

Three jackets and winter gloves didn't make for the easiest swing patterns today - but the views Awesome.

You can barely make out the weather station towers and antenna on the top of the highest peak in the Northeast.

Graceful old hotel is a great back drop to today's round of golf.

It was windy -cold - some rain and snow swirling while we finished up the 18th hole...when we last saw our view of the top of the mountains in the clouds. Next time I visit the Mt Washington hotel - it will be to ski Bretton Woods ski area across the street for the Spa and golf course facility.

Steve, You made me think of the photos I took at the Washington Hotel several years ago. Somewhere, I still have pictures of the Old Man and the Mountain. I'll have to dig through my archives...

Steve this is way to early for snow, even for up there.

Steve,

I'm not looking forward to this winter if it's already snowing on the East Coast.

Hi Steve, snow or not, those are some gorgeous photos! Love the hotel photo. I'm not exactly a fan of winter when it's 30 degrees with the winds whipping around.

Steve, those two top photos actually look like a great day to golf. but the bottom two look a little cold and dreary...but I'll take them all.

You're crazy to be out golfing in that weather, but you're right about the great views.  What a beautiful old hotel!
