Menage A Trois Minus One Equals TWO BARFF's!

By
Home Stager
I know you’ve all been waiting to hear about my lunch with my BARFF (Roger Mucci).  If you’re not familiar with our saga, this post should get you started.

Roger MucciBARFF and I met over a year ago when we started commenting on each other’s blog.  We both thought each other was straight forward (not literally) in our comments and couldn’t wait to meet each other.

Just ask anyone who’s been on ActiveRain for any amount of time and I’ll bet they have a similar story about someone they’ve met here. This is not just a Real Estate blogging community.   Sure you’re here for the SEO, business and leads... and let’s not forget the points!! But the best part are the friends we meet here... some we get to meet in the flesh.. and others will have to be virtual... at least for a while.

Still not sure you should reach out and meet a fellow Rainer?  Check out this recent post by Bridget McGee  on ActiveRainer’s supporting each other;  Connie Harvey’s post asking for Prayers for Missy Caulk’s son.  or Amy Hahn’s recent post on her ActiveRain Wealth!

So what was our lunch like?  It was like any other lunch between 2 old friends.  We hugged.... we ditched any pretense of a diet... and we talked.  Did we talk about ActiveRain?  Some... but we spoke about what’s going on in each other’s lives.  We caught up with family, Mickey, grandkids and life.   It’s like two old friends.... able to read each other’s minds... finish each other’s sentences.... write each other’s posts......

Good morning Kathy. I just read and commented on Roger's post. Did you guys write it together, it was exactly the same? No matter, glad you finally made it.

Deja vu all over again.

Yes, I remember last yr's post when you first met.  Yes, AR is so special.  And, people that are not part of it, just don't get it.

I Love it!!  I hit the magic button so we could hopefully put the two BARFF(s) in the spotlight :).  Is is Best Active Rain Friends Forever??  I think that may be what BARFF is??

Perfect! And this is the best part of the Rain, when we get to meet those who we've only "met" through our blogs, phone calls and emails.

Dianne- it adds that dimension you just can't get if you've never met the person.

Joanna- BARFF- means Best Active Rain Friend Forever.  Coined it last year, I think.

Cindy- I love seeing pics of when Active Rain members meet others here on the rain.

Susan- two peas in an odd shaped pod!

Deborah- you got it!  I know I did too.  We all usually just email or text but it is so much fun to actually hear a voice isn't it.

Sheila- I think it was my cold medicine that was the prankster... I said let's write the same post, different photos to see what happens and if any one would notice.

Malcolm- that we did!  Hope you find one near you.

Debbie- I loved seeing you and some of the other Rainers' pics from a post this year.

John-this is one huge referral network and a great community.

Pam- you got it!  Now... we have to get you over for lunch soon!

Craig- yep..I know just how I'd get you down here to Delray... and her initials are HL.

BARFF- tis fun, isn't it!

Jennifer- I'm going to make sure Tony (Roger's brother) never leaves this area.

Kerrie- People who aren't really using AR are missing out on so much!

I recently discovered Roger's blog through a re-post. His posts are fun to read.

Good luck and success.

Pretty scary stuff Kathy. On two occasions, while traveling, I stopped in to the offices of friends I have met at ActiveRain. It is like we have known each other for a long time but never have shook hands or been able to embrace.

You two crazy kids!  Now tell the truth...did you write the posts together or did one of you do all the work and let the other slide????

Lou- I'm glad you discovered Roger... he's funny and fun to read!

Paul- I love meeting fellow Rainers... I wanted to this last trip to Houston but only had so much time.

Sharon- not saying!  (can you guess by the writing?)

Kathy - Wait a second - I think I had deja vu all over again!  Didn't I just read this post, word for word on Roger's post?!!!  You guys!  Hey, I love Roger's photo - he has lost weight, too - he looks way thinner!  That Take It Off In The Rain group really is working!  Glad you two got together - wish I could have been the third component, but one day...

Kathy, what a great friendship you and Roger have here in the Rain and outside the Rain.  I met Roger on AR through one of your posts.

Hi Kathy,

That is wonderful that you have forged such a great friendship.  I like many people I have met on the Rain.  It is a great that you two connected so well.

What a blast I am sure. Roger is so much fun and I can only imagine the laughs you shared. I was so fortunate to meet so many of my AR friends at the RESA conference last year...I never would have imagined the bonds that would be created by blogging in the rain. It is truly a phenomenon!!

I can't really tell from the writing style.  You both have similar writing styles and although I'm leaning toward Roger being the primary writer, I think it may have been a team effort.

Nevermind...I just saw Roger's response to my comment on his post and he spilled the beans!
