So, there's this tree... And a sunset... Yeah, that's the picture of the day?

Real Estate Agent with Chris Alston (Keller Williams Realty, Silicon Valley, California) 01338415

So I took a picture of a tree.  A tree at sunset, or maybe sun down, or whatever you want to call it.  The sun was down, and as I was drivng back from Southern California I pulled out a camera and snapped this picture.  What a beautiful tree...  Just sitting there on the hill, on the side of the road.

A wonderful tree made of steel, and wires, and mesh, and fake branches, and cell phone thingies on its branches...  Odd, but I guess better to look at than just a cell phone tower made of steel.

I love the ones that are 800 feet tall (exaggeration) and are at least twice as tall as any tree and look like a pine tree on steriods, like someone is really going to think it is a tree (HA)

Hi Chris - The first "pine" trees I saw like that were when I moved to Northern California.  The towers we had in the L.A. and Orange County area were "palm" trees.  Whatever - it's a great idea to make those towers less obvious.

Great caption. Had me looking twice, then I read the caption below the photo. Never seen anything like it. Here in Southwest Florida, you know it is a cell phone tower when you see it. Ugly defines it! Enjoy your day!

Wow!  That's really weird!  Haven't seen one of those here in Houston yet.  But, I'll keep a lookout.  We have enough PC communities around here that will likely demand one.

You have to admit that it is different from all the other trees, Chris. I haven't seen one of those yet; I'm sure we will eventually.

Hi Chris, I saw a stunning Palm Tree out in Palm Desert, Ca and as I studied how perfect it was , it was because it crafted and was actually a cell tower. Never saw one like you just posted. When the sun beats down long enough on these artifical trees and they lighten from the sun exposure, they will not be so attractive. Like faded plastic plants- ugly, is a word that comes to mind. LOL

Hi Chris, I've seen a few of those "trees" in Arizona lately.  I suppose they look better than the ugly steel structure they really are-LOL

That is the nifty thing about California, we grow trees that double as cell towers. . .LOL  I always love it when I have relatives from Kansas pay a visit.  I always try to drive them by at least one or two of these "special" trees.  If they aren't pointed out, they will miss them every time:-)

Here in Tucson we have cell phone saguaros.  They're bigger than saguaros should be and not real well proportioned.  Still better than just a tower but I think I like your tree better.

Hi Chris, something about your photo grabbed me, so I grabbed it.  I hope you don't mind...   In NC, our cell towers are just that...cell towers, the only artistry are the lines and angles carved across the sky background. You Californians are on the cutting edge of everything.  We'll probably get cell trees (not to be confused with "phone trees") just about the time California figures out how to make them invisible!  Have a wonderful Sunday and I can't wait to show your cell tree to my NC buddies!

I see Mona beat me to it. We have lots of cell trees down here, most of them palm trees. There is one place where they put up a tall fake pine tree, but there are no trees in that area over about six feet tall, so it looks really weird.
