Join in games and activities about pumpkins at Pumpkins by the Campfire. Bring a small pumpkin to decorate and enjoy roasted marshmallows and toasted pumpkin seeds. In the 18th and 19th centuries, Virginians celebrated Halloween with storytelling, fortune telling, fall foods and family gatherings. Experience these traditions from yesteryear at the Historic All Hallows Eve. Enjoy a tractor-drawn wagon ride to your tour stops. Tour the house and grounds by lantern light. Hear about fall foods and how the harvest was preserved for use during the winter months. Then enjoy a fall treat of doughnuts and warm cider. Afterward, make a fall craft to take home as a reminder of your visit. Participants ages 5 and above are welcome. 5 to 7 p.m. Sully Historic Site. $8/person. Register online. Storytelling Concert and Open Mic: Master of Ceremonies Gary Lloyd will lead talented storytellers Geraldine Buckley, Judith Onesty, Les Schaffer and Kim Waitkamp in an evening of storytelling magic. It's fun for the whole family at the Festival on the Square! Enjoy children’s entertainment, a “Help the Homeless" walk, live entertainment, petting zoo, hay maze, moon bounce, a kids train ride, Lego area for kids of all ages, booths with local businesses and organizations and food by Vinifera. 12 to 5 p.m. Reston Heights.
