Is there anything better than finding a house that speaks to you!

This home is currently listed in MLS - and it jumped off the page!  It spoke to me!

white houseNow, you are thinking - this needs to be Staged!  Look at that front lawn, shrubs, etc.

And, you are right!   It does need Staging, and work, too!

However, this home is just gorgeous! 

Look at the roof line, check out the portico, the windows, the side porch, the attic space! 

When you find a house that you love,  you have to take a moment and relish the magnificence of these fabulous structures!

Margaret, I don't have any pictures but I love Old style Victorian homes....with a wrap around porch.  I think they are just beautiful (and I love the home above as well).

Margaret, that house looks very much like my grandmother's house, which I bought when she passed away and lived in for three years till I couldn't take living in a small town anymore.  Judging by the picture that house is probably what was called a "four square".  There is a room in each corner of the house upstairs and downstairs with a huge hallway upstairs.

Margaret - Thanks for sharing.  I wish we had more houses like that in S. Cal. 

I don't have any pic's of homes I love but I am with Carole.  I love the old Victorian homes with the porches that wrap around.  I grew up on Long Island where there were many old beautiful homes.  I miss them! :(

Margaret, That is a beautiful house, for sure! They just don't make like that anymore. I would be hard pressed to choose just one favorite. The town I live in has so many beautiful historic homes on Main St. I just love looking at them everyday, especially with each changing season to see how they are decorated. I never tire of looking at them!

Good question Margaret!  I seem to be drawn to Tudor homes, but not the big ones.  I don't have a picture to post, but do have one I took out of a magazine and stuck in my decorating ideas binder.  The older homes seem to have more exterior character.

Michelle!  What a beautiful home!  The sky is just gorgeous!  Santa Fe is one of our favorite places!  Actually, all of New Mexico is fabulous!  Can we be neighbors - I will bring the merlot & brownies!

Kathy!  Tudors are gorgeous!  In fact, there is a Tudor on the market in Andover MA with plans for a tower!  I will try to post them!  Thank you for visiting and sharing!

Tina!  All real estate is local isn't it?  What looks good in Massachusetts may not work in California!   Older vintage are beautiful - but with a price tag!  Upkeep, cost of fuel, maintenance and removal of hazardous waste (asbestos and lead paint) make it necessary for them to be torn down - a tough decision.  Thank you for stopping by!
