Real Estate Agent with Arizona Real Estate Agent with DPR Realty hi everyone!  I am new to ActiveRain and I had posted a blog when I was not yet a member so I don't know how many people actually saw it, so I am going to post again...

What does everyone use to carry your stuff?  I am primarily a buyer's agent and here is my scenario...I pull up to the house and I have to gather my ARMLS electronic key, my car keys, my cell phone, my listing info and then I after I open the electronic box I have the bottom of the box and the house key.  Inevitably I drop something.  So DOES ANYONE HAVE ANYTHING THAT THEY USE TO CARRY THEIR STUFF?  I have heard some people say pockets and some people don't take their cell phone in.  I like to have my cell phone in case I need to make a call to the listing agent.  I feel stupid constantly having to go back to my car.  Sometimes I don't have pants with pockets so that doesn't work either.  HELP!!!  ANY COMMENTS ARE APPRECIATED! :)

Such a great question.  I have a bucket type purse and throw these showing items into it.  Somtimes a blazer with pockets works as well.  Kristine

Hi Cherie,

Sometimes it is challenging... but I have found that the iPhone app for Supra (lockbox) is amazing.  It is a small clip that you keep on your keychain that you plug into your phone to open lockboxes.  That eliminates the electronic key.  Then once I have opened the box, I leave the bottom of the box (in the shade) on the ground on patio or wherever the lockbox is.  Usually I do have my purse-- where I leave my keys.  So in my hand-- the listing info and my phone.  Does that help?  I hope so... good luck and keep on blogging!  Kathy

I HATE lockboxes on the door handle.  Put them on the porch so they can be PICKED UP, the key extracted, the door opened and then the key RETURNED to the lockbox unless it is needed to recure the house.

I have most of my information on my Toshiba Android Thrive tablet so I can get information needed on a listing via that.

Hi Cherie,

You read my mind! Juggling my Blackberry and ekey fob to open the Supra ELB is tricky so I put the fob on a lanyard and have a holster that clips onto my belt or waistband to hold the BB. I keep a couple business cards in the lanyard for easy access so I can leave one at each property.

Like Kristine, I throw items in my purse - listing info, digital camera, tape measure and (don't laugh) hand sanitizer or wipes,  WD40 or silicone spray (for those hard to open locks and lock boxes) and a flashlight (useful when showing short sales or REO's with no power). I need to put together a showing kit of the above items so I can just grab 'n go. I travel heavy since we have a lot of high rise condos that are security buidlings in my area so going back to the car for a forgotten item is a hassle.

I purchased a notebook/briefcase at OfficeMax. It has a bifold zipper section for carrying contracts etc, a zipper pocket that holds my camera/whatever and a velcro pocket for property files etc. Works great and fits under my arm.

I have a huge purse that carries everything, even my tablet in a pinch.  The real problem is finding everything I need since something inevitably winds up on the bottom.
