Kodak "Printing on the Go" and Google Cloud Printing - Life Made Easier.
I work with a lot of clients who are out of state and who travel regularly. I like to take my occasional road trip too. Sometimes we end up doing it at the same time. When this happens we have to be creative with the technology that we have to get the job done. Sometimes my clients don't have access their email. Sometimes I don't have access to my fax.
Take this summer for instance. I was 10,000 ft up in Leadville, Colorado (where amazingly they have cell coverage and internet). Phone, email and internet worked. I was camping. I had no fax.
My clients were on the road, in their car on their way to a hotel. They had their email, but nowhere to print.
My client wanted to write an offer on a home we'd looked at a few weeks back. Not a few weeks ago when we looked, not next week, but now; while both of us were on vacation.
No problem! We don't have smartphones for nothing, right? Except smartphones can't do everything. Like they can't print. Or wait. Can they?
With Google Cloud Printing our problems would have been solved. Either one of us could have used Cloud Printing technology to print the documents to the hotel for easy pickup when they arrived.
In our business I'm sure there are endless other ways to be able to use Cloud Printing, this is just one that would have made my life easier and my camping trip a little less eventful on the work front :-)
This blog post is for the Kodak and ActiveRain 'Printing on the Go' Challenge. You (and I) have a chance to win some great prizes from Kodak.
