Professional home stagers know that placing furniture, art and accessories is not enough in this competitve market.  They know that the type of furniture, art and accessories is critical.  They know that where the furniture, art and accessories are placed is critical as well.  Beware of the friend with a "knack" for decorating, they are not marketing specialists nor are they professional home stagers.  Beware of the agent who calls themselves a home stager but has no true credentials and uses this as a hook.  You wouldn't list your house with a stager.  You want your agent working for you to sell your house.  Would you think of having your agent paint your house, mow your lawn or hang your art?  If they are doing all that, then they are not selling your property.  

Professional stagers know the value of collaboration and work very hard to combine their efforts and talents with those of your real estate agent to produce the results you want.  An agent can help with determining what the deomgraphics are for each property.
