Motivational Power Quote

Is it Critical or is it Important?

“Nothing can add more power to your life,

than concentrating all your energies

on a limited set of targets.”

Nido Qubein, author, speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Is it critical or is it important?

It’s easy to be thrown off track and to become scatter in your efforts.

We all know the type of days I’m speaking about.

You are working on task and bang we’re hit with something from of the blue. All of the sudden we’re putting out fires and we have abandoned the important tasks at hand.

The question becomes is putting out the fires: is it critical or is it important?

Critical are the things that seem to continually pop up and take your eyes off doing what’s important.

Yes the critical things have to be resolved, but it’s the important things that drive the success of your business. Do what has to be done with the critical things to resolve then successfully and get back on track doing what’s important.

Stay on task and concentrate your energies on a narrow set of targets of doing what’s important to bring efficiency to your day and a focused effort in achieving your goals.

Energy that concentrated creates laser like focus on a narrow set of targets creating the power of purpose in your effort on the things that are most important to you and your success.

You create personal power when you laser focus on your target. The greater your focus is on your target the greater the power of purpose becomes.

Keep your battery fully charged and you will have the power of purpose and unstoppable forward momentum.

Ask the question: is it critical or is it important and then concentrate your energies into achieving your goals by doing what’s important.

Well said, Lou...laser focus gets one to the goal...a windshield wiper breadth just entertains us, doesn't deliver us to that outcome.

Lou-I needed to read this today because I get too scattered and need to focus on less things before moving onto something new.

Lou,

Most people can't do everything on their plate. It makes sense to concentrate on the ones that are most important.

Lou - I worked on my 2012 goals over a leisurely breakfast this morning.  I'm narrowing my focus and targeting a tighter market. Your post is spot on!

Stay on task and concentrate your energies on a narrow set of targets of doing what’s important to bring efficiency to your day and a focused effort in achieving your goals.

Critical items are those bumps in the road that cause you to take your eyes off the goal. Stay focused!
