There are several things to do for the whole family in the Pinehurst area to enjoy Halloween and other fall events.
Here are some of the events that will take place in the Pinehurst area and around Moore County:
The Craze Maze at Kalawi Farm - corn maze, hay rides, pumpkins and ice cream - about 15 miles west of Pinehurst. Go straight out 211 W. from the Pinehurst circle. It will be open until Oct. 31 and the hours are Friday from 6Pm-9PM, Saturday from 10AM-9PM, and Sunday 2Pm-6Pm. Cost is $6 for ages 12 and under and $8 for ages 13 and older. Hay rides are additional and there are special group rates - 910-673-1470.
Pusser Pumpkins - Oct 29th and 30th from dark until 10:30PM. Admission is free though they appreciate canned food donations for the Cameron Boy's home. Each year the Pusser's display a variety of carved pumpkins. You can see them at their home in the West End area. Take 211 W from Pinehurst and just past Seven Lakes turn left on Flowers Rd. The home will be on the right bast Blue's Mulch. Please no pets.
Haunted Forest at Sycamore Lodge RV Resort a 1059 Sycamore Lane in Jackson Springs. Open October 28th and 29th from 7 to 10 PM. Admission is $10 and resort members and military personnel get a $1 discount. Proceeds will help Lymphoma research. There will be haunted trails and it is not recommended for those under age 9. Aberdeen Fear Factory at the old Centurion Manufacturing building at 10570 Hwy 211. Every night from Oct. 24th until Oct. 31st the fear Factory will be open from 6:30PM to Midnight. Admission is $15. 12,000 square feet of horror. Sounds pretty scary!! More information at 910-944-0908.
Halloween Haunt on Oct. 31st at the Downtown Park in Southern Pines from 5 - 7 PM. Ghouls and goblins please come and enjoy activities for the whole family. Come dressed for the event. For more information call 910-692-2463.
