See. Hear. Smell. Taste. Feels... right !
Being a real estate agent and living in Berry Creek in Georgetown TX is a great combination. I love to show my neighborhood to potential clients, especially those from out of town. It gives me such great pleasure to drive through the front entrance with the stately looking signs and neatly landscaped flowerbeds. By the time we have driven through the row of Bradford Pear trees, I have usually gotten at least one good "oooo!" or "ahhhh!" from my buyers. Music to my ears....!!
I've seen several beautiful homes for sale in Berry Creek. Whether it's an older home that has been lovingly cared for and updated in the "Woods" section, or one of the brand new ones in the "Reserve", some just stand out from the pack. From my first step inside, I could see that the home was neat and free of clutter, smelled very pleasant and clean, and I could hear soft, instrumental music playing in the background. Eyes, check. Nose, check. Ears, check. It had made a great impression on 3 of my 5 senses right away!
As I continued into the great room, my eyes were drawn to something on the coffee table. There's a sign - with my name on it! Sitting next to a book containing all the information regarding the home, was a note, printed in a beautiful calligraphy font: "Mr. and Mrs. Seller would like to welcome Sheri Salley, Century 21, and her clients. Please take your time to enjoy the home and feel free to call if you have any questions..."
Wow...that was a first for me, and I found it very welcoming !
The "taste" was like a cold drink on a hot Texas afternoon....literally. There were chilled bottles of water, along with some chocolates and nuts, sitting out on the gleaming granite kitchen counter. I would have hesitated, but after seeing the "welcome" sign in the previous room, I had no doubt these thoughtful sellers had left this little refreshment just for us!
While enjoying our taste of chocolate, we were able to take in all the wonderful things about the kitchen....from the island cooktop, to the abundance of cabinetry with roll out shelving, to the warm sunlight beaming in from the windows in the breakfast nook.
Outside, the next sensory experience awaited. ....! After stepping out the back door and onto the flagstone patio, we were greeted by an entertainer's paradise. The custom built bar commanded our attention first and foremost. But wait - what's that....a firepit? with lavarocks? And behind that, a peaceful, gurgling water feature....how can you resist touching the water ? The sounds of nature, along with the feel of a slight breeze moving through the trees - all so inviting it just makes you want to sit and stay a while!
Maybe the Texas heat is a bit much on a certain day, and you don't feel like entertaining on the patio. NO problem! Invite your guests upstairs to the media room to watch the latest movie out on DVD - there's room for everybody in here!
