Getting on my Last Nerve – Metallic Wallpaper

I showed a house that had wall paPeeling Wallpaperper on every wall.  It was as though there was a wallpaper sale, wallpaper convention or maybe a wallpaper contest. My buyer could have said that's too much wall paper or my buyer could have said I love the wallpaper. It was as though either way my buyer was rendered speechless.

My buyer walked throughout the home not saying a word; the silence was deafening. Finally my buyer said, “The good thing is that half of the wallpaper is peeling off”. Sad to say that unfortunately when wallpaper is applied without treating the wallboard before installation (as with most older homes), the face of the sheet-rock is removed when removing the wallpaper. In most likelihood the wall will require re-texturing.

Removing WallpaperI think that metallic wallpaper is beautiful but haven't had the courage to use it in my home.  Mind you, I’ve never removed wallpaper but have heard that it’s a tedious daunting task. The next time you’re thinking of wallpapering any of the rooms in your home, remind yourself that your beloved wallpaper may not be the favorite of the next homeowner.

Leolinda - gotta love the metallics, LOL.  Were they ever really "in?"

I don't think I have ever seen wallpaper that I like.  In most cases you want to run out screaming.  Who wallpapers in this day and age?  And yes, it is a nightmare to remove.

I kind of like the butterfly wallpaper but not for my walls!  I agree with Jane - who wallpapers these days?  I guess you found the one and only
