Port Potomac is one of the popular new Prince William County Communities designed and developed in the last few years in Woodbridge VA. Multiple builders including Ryan Homes, Drees Homes, NVR and Kettler Brothers have helped shape Port Potomac. New homes are still being built by Ryan homes and M/I homes at the Reserve at Port Potomac. The neighborhood has a mix of townhouses and detached homes with multiple floor plans.
When you first enter the community you can't help but notice the large community center. The community center features a place for neighbors to gather and host special events. The center also has an indoor pool, exercise room, outdoor pool, tennis courts and a basketball court. There is also a dog park off of the main road at the back of the community.
As of October 24, 2011 there have been 25 detached home sales for the year. The sales have ranged in price from $346,000 to slightly over $500,000. Since the size and style of homes varies widely in the community an "average" price has little value. You can't compare a smaller front porch Michener resale with a detached garage with a brand new brick and stone front home with close to 5000 square feet. If you are interested in selling your home in Port Potomac, it is important to meet with an agent familiar with the neighborhood to discuss the value of your home.
