This haunted house in Toronto, housed jailbirds.
There are a few haunted houses in Toronto; however, the one that comes to mind first is the Don Jail.
The Old Don Jail was opened in 1864 and it housed criminals
It turned out that many hangings took place at the indoor gallows and inmates were not always treated well. 34 prisoners were executed at the Don Jail, including Robert Turpin and Arthur Lucas.
These two men were the last to be sentenced to capital punishment in Canada in 1962; and the story is they haunt the Old Don Jail.
These 2 guys are really busy, they are also said to haunt the Old City Hall, where they were sentenced. Judges' robes mysteriously being pulled and the sound of footsteps walking down empty hallways.
There is also an angry female inmate,
who it is said had hanged herself in her cell and has haunted the jail ever since. Apparently she is very, very angry ........
