Sturgeon Bay, Door County, WI, Romance, Sight Seeing, and FUN! A Wonderful Place to Get Away, even if only for a Day!

Hey Gary, it was a blast!  Can you believe I went horse back riding?  Now you can call me cowgirl!  LOL!!!  I have a bunch more photo's that were really fun to take!  I'll share them with you all little by little.  So, how about those Rangers?  Yeah!!!

Hello Craig, it was fun.  I sampled a lot of wine, cheese and some amazing breads.  You would have loved these breads!  I found this place that had real cheesecake from New York!  YUM!  And the horseback riding through the woods was wonderful.  Absolutely my favorite part of the entire day weekend!

Thanks Sharon, my camera was working overtime this weekend!  The fall foliage was beautiful, the sky brilliant blue, the water like glass in most parts.  I'll have more photo's coming soon.  I am so glad I finally (only been waiting 30 years) got to visit Door County WI!

Oh through the eyes of a stager!  LOL!!!  I knew you would pick up on that Sharon T!  That was the most adorable room,.. of course you and I would make several changes!  :)D

Charles my friend, bring M on up and we'll show the two of you the town!  I think you would love it!  Like your little neck of the woods there are many artisans and specialty shops.  We would have a wonderful time!

Good Evening Dorie, I did really enjoy all the sight seeing and horseback riding.  What a beautiful place Door County WI is!  Great people and a lot of fun!

Well Mimi, if you mean Eau Claire, WI I am about 3 or 3 & 1/2 hours south east.  It is the same distance from Sturgeon Bay, Door County WI!  Now if you want to know how far Eau Claire WI is from Door County, it is about 2 hours due east.  I think I am actually enjoying getting a little older,... for now anyhow!

Joanna, the colors were glorious!  Now me on the other hand, thank you for the sweet compliment, but no make-up, hair pulled back and my clothes are two sizes too big,..... but who cares?  That's me and I am getting pretty okay with who I have become.  Life is good isn't it? 

Julie, that would be absolutely wonderful!  Do you like antiquing?  There is wine tasting, a place called Chelsea Antiques up in Sister Bay (near the cheesecake place), plus wine tasting, there is the Potter's Guild of Door County,.... plus did I mention wine tasting?  :)D

Oh Amy, don't be green with envy!  I'll be happy to take you up there when you come visit.  We would have a wonderful time.  Do you like horseback riding?  Because I really want to do that again.  Oh did I love that!  That photo of me cracks me up!  My clothes are two sizes too big, no makeup and my hair pulled back.  But hey that's me in all my usual glory!  Now, go talk to Roger and see when you can get up here!

Awe Amy thank you!  I can't wait till these clothes fall to the floor!  LOL!!!  It would be amazing if you guys could come up! Do you think Tanner could horse back ride too?  I know Destiny would LOVE it!

Shar, did I forget to mention that today?  Of course I posted photo's!  I'm thinking it would be fun for a bunch of us girls to meet there and have a long weekend!  Do you think a few might be up for that?  Just think of it, shopping with no one saying; "are you ready yet", horseback riding, wine, chocolate,.........

Oh Shawano WI, whitewater rafting is such a blast Nick!  We used to do that regularly.  I miss it a lot and you know what?  Destiny (my little grand daughter) is old enough now to go rafting!  I do believe that is something I'm going to put on my calendar for next summer.  Glad I could stir up some great memories for you.

I did have some fun Kristine.  I especially loved the horseback riding and wine tasting.  I haven't been on a horse since 1997!  Can't believe how easy it was to get back on.  Never felt more comfortable.

Maureen, you would have loved this trip!  Each small town is filled with wonderful artisans.  There was hand blown glass, stained glass, ceramics, jewelry, furniture, cheeses of all assortments and the best breads I have ever tried.  It was wonderful!
