I Have Gone and Done It - I am now Officially a Keller Williams Agent!

Keller Williams Logo

That's right, after some long hard thinking and contemplation and looking at the advice of the folks who read and commented on my post, I want to be a Real Estate Agent, I have decided to transfer my license over to Keller Williams Realty in San Antonio, Texas I-10 office.

It was a tough choice given that I received a lot of helpful information about different brokerages, my own confidence level and what I really need in order to move my career forward.  I truly believe that Keller Williams will give me the foundational training I need to move on and move up with my business.

I am really excited about this new venture in my life and have a lot of my Active Rain family to thank for helping me make this decision.  First, I thank Jerry Newman for bringing me to his office and answering any and every question I wanted to know about Keller Williams Realty and being honest and an all around nice guy.  Anyone who knows Jerry, knows what I am talking about.

I would also like to thank Charita Cadenhead for talking to me about Keller Williams and having the patience and the ears to listen while I rambled on and on about what I thought I needed, lol :)!

I would like to thank Ms. Carla Muss-Jacobs who made me feel alright about writing that post above as I was in a particularly vulnerable spot by writing that post and letting everyone on AR get to know some of my insecurities.  It was hard for me.

AND, I want to thank one of my BIGGEST mentors, Ms. Barbara Todaro who told me that I need to get to the business of doing Real Estate and quit BSing in short, lol :)!

Anyway, I know I am going on and on like I received some type of Academy Award or something, but I thought I would at least let you know my decision and anyway, someone already let the secret out...

What a wonderful group of friends I have here at Active Rain...I just wanna give you all a big ole hug :)!

I always love it when people start off saying things like "not to sound negative but..." like someone did up top.  Hehehe.  Good for you for doing your research and going with your gut.  Far too often in real estate other agents want to force their opinions and agenda on to us and it sounds like you made the best decision you could for your business!  I have LOVED being a KW agent since I joined two years ago now, and it's really what you make it.  This is by far the BEST company in the nation for real estate agents, and yes, I'm biased.  I'm excited to have you in our midst and look forward to meeting you at upcoming Family Reunions, Mega Camps, etc.  And hey, you're just right down the road.  Let's stay connected; find me on facebook!  :D  All the best to you.

More opinions than you want to hear about.

Not to sound negative, but after getting talked into making the switch by Kent Olson after ten years somewhere else, there are no negatives.  Is a double negative twice as negative as a negative??

Hi Terronald-I think I did make the best decision.  Time will tell and I have had a lot of KW agents tell me how wonderful it is!  I do hope to meet you someday :)!

Hi Mike-Ha...double negatives cancel each other out and make them a positive :)!

Thank you both for your encouragment!
