Posted Addison Texas Foreclosures for November, 2011.
Addison, Texas has not been as hard hit with foreclosures as other parts of the country, but foreclosures do exist here. The Dallas County foreclosure auction is held the first Tuesday of each month. Below are the only Addison Texas properties posted for the November 1st, 2011 foreclosure auction at the George Allen Courts Building:
- (Townhouse) 15834 Breedlove Place #146 , built 2005, 1820 sq ft - Townhomes of District A Subdivision - listed on the Dallas County appraisal district website at $254,800 for 2011
- (Single Family Home) 17073 Planters Row, built 1982, 1,571 sq ft - Addison Place Subdivision - listed on the Dallas County appraisal district website at $158,560 for 2011
Last month there was only one Addison home on the foreclosure list. This month there are two. Addison has approximately 8,000 residences, and about 75% of these are apartments. That leaves about 2,000 single family homes, condos, townhouses and duplexes. Two is still a low number of foreclosed homes!
If you think you might be interested in purchasing a property at the foreclosure auction, I suggest that you attend the auction for a few months, learn the procedure, and do your research about any property you might want to bid on. Trustees representing multiple banks sell at the same time. It's quite an interesting process. Only about 5% of the posted properties sell. The rest are taken back by the banks and may eventually be listed through real estate agents. It is usually the properties with lots of equity that sell at the courthouse.
In reference to Court Order 2009-0463 all Dallas County foreclosure postings and sales will take place on the north side of the George Allen Courts Building, facing Commerce Street, below the overhang, or as designated by the County Commissioners.
