I am super blessed to live in a pretty good neighborhood. It's not the fanciest but it's not the worse either. I love it! It's an established neighborhood built in the 80s with mature landscaping that's now billowing forth it's beautiful Fall bounty! Our street is quiet yet brimming with kids playing, random cats and lots and LOTS of leaves. The Ozarks are truly beautiful in the Fall.
I have a couple amazing neighbors too. I met them literally the first couple days after moving in last August. These wonderful friends have kids the same age as ours and they all catch the bus in our driveway every morning which gives us all a chance to catch up on our lives for the few moments that we wait.
One neighbor had a daycare business in her home for several years and was a complete God-send when we moved here because I needed someone close that I could trust, a couple days a week to watch my pre-schooler. She was two doors away and was wonderful! I couldn't have asked for a better situation. My son has since gone onto preschool and this year she went back to work full time away from the home (in Escrow, no less! - So we have a lot to chat about)
She has, in-turn, put her little guy in preschool now but this week has been a challenge for them. He got really sick over the past 10 days, to the point we were all really worried, especially since no one else in the family or the school got sick. She has had to miss work, ask friends and family for help in caring for him and lost many nights sleep this week over health related issues. To boot, her husband works away from town most of the week so she has been taking on this toll alone. She is just fried and so my friend and I decided to make her and her family dinner and take her first grader to the school's Trunk or Treat tonight and let her just VEG.
I LOVE doing this. I am making my FAMOUS [well in our house] all-day lasagna, homemade Caesar salad, garlic bread and my friend made yummy brownies. I sooooo couldn't be here without her and all my wonderful neighbors and am thankful everyday to live in such a blessed community.
Love you Kristy!!!
