Words from Thomas Jefferson

Good morning!

I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a lovely Sunday.  So many have been affected by this year's storms, and suffered catastrophic losses that I thought these words that Thomas Jefferson once said might be apropos:

When we see ourselves in a situation which must be endured and gone through, it is best to make up our minds to it, meet it with firmness, and accommodate everything to it in the best way practicable.  This lessens the evil; while fretting and fuming only serves to increase your torments.”

My prayers go out to all who are facing challenges, that you may not only meet them, but beat them.

I have posted information on the American Red Cross before, but I have included it again so that anyone who is able to help those in need of assistance may find the site easily.  Click here.

Have a blessed day!

Good morning Lisa, your quote is very timely for me this morning. We have just had a terrible early snow storm here in CT. With the leaves still on the trees, the damage and power outages might be more than from the hurricane back in late August.

Good morning James,

Oh dear, I was watching the storm warnings across the nation and couldn't believe your part of the country was already going to get hit with snow.  Prayers to all for a speedy return to the power, and that this isn't a sign of a terrible winter coming.

Wow This is not my first rodeo, I live by the Boy Scout Motto "BE PREPARED" I got everything ready in April for the Hurricanes that we may have had through the summer and till November, we have to prepare for months. WHen I lived in Michigan witht the snow storms we knew it was coming so we prepared in August for the weather to come in November and if came in October we were ready.
