When you think of Orange Beach or Gulf Shores, typically our fabulous beaches would come to mind, but we offer so much more fun for fall. Just a half hour away in Loxley, AL you can visit Barnhill Farms and get lost in the corn mazes along with the many other activities they have planned for you!
According to Barnhill Farms, it can be quite a challenge to find your way through their corn mazes. They include not only twists and turns, but also dead ends—all cut out of corn stalks on 8 acres. You will need to become a detective of sorts collecting clues from parts of the maze in order to find your way out. It’s an incredible way to use your imagination and create an “a-MAZE-ing” adventure for the whole family! Whether you’re coming from Gulf Shores or anywhere else, plan to spend the day at Barnhill Farms so you can participate in the other activities offered, too, like taking the little ones over to the hay maze (ages 3 and under) which is free with an adult admission to the corn maze, picking a pumpkin from the patch to bring home to Orange Beach(prices vary depending on size of pumpkins), or going on the spooky haunted hayride (for an additional fee) just to name a few.
Barnhill Farms is open on Saturdays (9am-5pm) and Sundays (1pm-5pm) from Sept 24 – Oct 30. Admission to the maze is $10 with children age 2 and under being FREE. That admission includes the corn maze, a hayride that will be about 10 minutes long, the corn box—instead of a sandbox—for children under 10, swing sets and picnic tables.
