Halloween in Mesquite NV trunk or treat


Mesquite Police Department will be blocking off Yucca Street next to City Hall on Monday from 5:30 to 7:00 pm for the fourth annual Mesquite Trunk or Treat party. 

Local businesses and residents have volunteered donations, as well as their time to pass out Halloween candy to all the "little monsters" who attend.

With so many gated communities and second homes in Mesquite, not all neighborhoods here are ghost and goblin friendly.  Many of our snowbirds haven't arrived for the winter yet.

Mesquite's Trunk or Treat is a great way for kids to celebrate my favorite holiday in a fun and safe place.


Although I live in a 55 plus active adult community, I still stock up on Halloween candy - just in case I get a bunch of kids trick or treating at my door.  If not, I will be forced to eat the leftovers.  Again.  Can't wait!

Love the photo -  sure hope David's mother-in-law doesn't stumble on this!  I have to buy candy I don't like, so I won't be tempted to eat what's left.  I do buy just a little that I like though and find myself giving it out last and hoping we don't run out of the other!

Virginia - this is a cool picture. As for candies, nobody knocks on my door, and nobody did in years. that's the nature of second homes or vacation condos

Joyce, I know - I would get David in big trouble!  My husband and I both buy candy and stash it - just so we both get what we like.  :)

Jon - it is one of the downfalls of 55 plus communities - kinda lonely on Halloween.

Great photo Virginia - don't even try to pretend its you sans makeup. We live in a gated community, but I always stock up on my favorite chocolate - just in case a few kids drop by. (evil laugh).
