Morton Grove is a village in Cook County, Illinois. It was named after the former president, Levi Parsons Morton.
Morton Grove became the first town in the U.S in 1981, to prohibit the possession of handguns.
In August 2007, Family Circle Magazine voted Morton Grove as one of the "10 Best Towns for Families".
The population was 22,450 at the 2000 census. The median household income was $67,700 in 2005. The median house/condo value was $332900 in 2005.
