Rich, thank you so much for the help yesterday. I am excited about joining the Active Rain community, and look forward to getting to know more Rainmakers. My first blog will be coming soon.
Today I spent a little time educating a friend of mine about ActiveRain and blogging in general. I'm happy to say she has joined our not-so-little gang of content creators and is itching to get started! As soon as she writes her first post I will introduce her!
Being the helpful kind of guy that I am, I thought I'd share some posts with her that demonstrate how some of my favorite people blog here in the Rain. After all, everyone has their own unique style, right?
So he we go, these are some of the people I read regularly in no particular order. It would be impossible to make a complete list here, so please don't be offended if you are not included!
Tammy Emineth. I can't say her name without going very slowly, but I really like her blog because she writes on a variety of topics ranging from how-to's to Halloween Costumes. Here's a recent post of Tammy's What is this SEO Business?
Jane Peters. Jane knows how to blog for business, but she also has a dry wit that cracks me up. Here's a favorite recent post that I think is a scream not just because of the video she chose, but because of the title. Remind You of Some of the Agents You Have to deal with?
Craig Daniels. Craig's classroom has not been around here all that long-at least not that I'm aware of- but inho his blog has been a welcome addition to ActiveRain. Check out this post What Kind of Name are you Making for Yourself?
Brad Andersohn. Brad was an driving force behind AR when I first joined in 2009. I remember meeting him and Bob Stewart at an ActiveRain event in Scottsdale that September. They were both a little surprised that I drove all the way there from Albuquerque to hear and meet them. Shortly thereafter came RainCamp. Even though he's now with Zillow, Brad still contributes regularly and is way more tech savvy than I will ever be. Plus, like me, he's a musician so he's the coolest. J. Philip Faranda. While I sometimes struggle for words this guy never does. Always on point and always clearly written when I'm done reading his post I think "I wish I could write the easily." Here's a recent post I enjoyed entitled Just Show the House.
Debe Maxwell. Debe's output is prolific. Her blog contains great examples of the informational article that homebuyer's and homeseller's in Charlotte NC want to read. Here's an example: Home Buyer's Guide Step 5 Making the Offer.
Loreena Yeo. Loreena startevery week with a God First post. That's not the kind of thing I am going to do, but what I've always enjoyed about her blog is that her personality and her belief's shine through. Mountains Keep you From God's Best.
I'm sure everyone has their own personal favorites. Maybe you could help our new Rainer out and post your favorites in the comments section here. I thin it would be cool if you would include a link to one of their posts that you think is a good example of their style.
