The BMX track at Noonday Park is one of the park’s most unique features. It is one of two in Cobb County (the other is in Wild Horse Creek Park in nearby Powder Springs, Georgia), and youth BMX is organized by Cobb County BMX, a volunteer organization. To race at either track, you must join the American Bicycle Association (ABA), because Cobb County BMX is sanctioned under ABA. Cobb County BMX has been going strong for over 20 years!
Soccer is the other big sport at Noonday Park. The park host both youth and adult soccer leagues. Youth soccer is offered in both the spring and fall months through several volunteer organizations throughout Cobb County. Men’s, women’s, and co-ed soccer teams are also offered through volunteer associations.
In addition to soccer and BMX, Blackwell Bears youth football and cheerleading is offered at Noonday Park for kids ages five to twelve. The picnic pavilion at Noonday Park is available for free t anyone who would like to use it for a party, reunion, or other fun event. There is no need to make reservations.
Just like the homes, shopping, and businesses of East Cobb County, there is something for families and people of all ages to do at Noonday Park.
