Salt Lake County, Residential Home Information Recap. Salt Lake County market information for the past two weeks. The news is finally reporting home sales improving. The third quarter of 2011 showed the best home sales in a third quarter since 2007. I have the lowest inventory I have had in years for sale. Unfortunately, the listings I had did not sell, they put renters into them instead. (Rental market is going crazy too)
If you have a single family home in great condition listed for under 200,000 I would be surprised if it last on the market very long. Now condition, location and actual size of the home will make the difference. Very few areas are supporting prices over $100/sqft. From what I have seen the homes that are going undercontract range from $80 - $90/sqft on average.
