I feel old enough to retire! YIKES! My 50th B-Day is this month! Maybe you should reserve a spot at one of the local retirement centers for me? Would you come and visit me?

40 degrees in the winter, too cold.  We bring out down jackets if it goes below 65.  If we ever hit 90 in the summer we hide in the A/C.  But your cost of living and crime rates trump us.

Aloha from Hawaii!

Yes- this area is still undiscovered but is starting to see some nice growth. I own 2 acreages between Lewiston and Orofino and 1 outside the town of Salmon Idaho. The prices in the Salmon area have really taken off the last 4 years and the parcels overlooking the Clearwater river have steadily increased but not exploded like some areas.

I love to stealhead fish and went to school in Moscow. I will be retiring on 1 of the parces in about 8 years and I believe this are will see a very steady growth as the boomers from all areas seek out beatufill and very affordable areas.

This are is very undervalued compared to Montana, and Washington and is as pretty as anyplace in the world but without the congestion and high cost of living! I believe your career will do well where you are. My wife keeps telling me to get my realtors license--I have always wanted to- but in 8 years I think I want to be living on the rivers in the area and enjoying those great outdoors! What a great place to live!

Keep up the great posts!
