I'm tired of hearing people blame the banks for all this. The real problem is with the people you voted for. Not the banks. The banks will do what they're aloud to do just like you or anyone else. They try to make money. And do you know who owns the banks? 88% of ownerships is by your reitement accounts, your teachers unions, your neighbors and so on. Only 12% are your "rich people" some demonize. Never the less, all of them want the banks to succeed and make money, so it doesn't make any sence that you would think they would want to purposely crash the banking system.
Another thing that most libs know but won't admit is that the "bailout" was a loan to the banks, not a gift as many try to portray it, and most have been paid back already with interest. Yes, the taxpayers have MADE money, not lost it.
And oh those terrible banks that actually loaned money at low interest rates, to people that actually wanted to borrow it. You should be mad at the people that lied about their income, took the loans they couldn't afford, and then spent that money and now can't pay it back. Actually the bank is the victim in this, they're the ones that got screwed by the homeowners that aren't paying them back.
If you actually care about all this you should be educating people about the libertarian party and voting for any libertarian you see on the ballot. There really is more that just 2 parties to vote for. Go to Libertarian Party Website and see what you can learn about smaller government and where your vote should be.
Sorry if I rattled anyones cage, but if i did, you needed it :)
