Coronado Condominium 155 West 70th Street Market Report
Built in 1990 The Coronado Condominium is one of the more desirable Lincoln Center Condo buildings. This 22 story, 120+ unit building is well regarded as one of the more attractive Upper West Side condo buildings. The apartments at The Coronado are typically described as very spacious, well renovated, along with the highly desired location of being at 70th and Broadway. When you walk into the building you will be greeted by 24 hour doorman and concierge.
The Coronado at 155 W 70th Street is well known for the two cast stone gargoyles that border the entrance at 70th Street and Broadway. Typically this type of architecture has been a focal point for the much older pre-war co-op buildings in the area, but the architects, Schuman, Lichtenstein, Claman & Efron, decided to bring a focal point and it's been well received as one of the most memorable features to anybody who visits the building.
So far in 2011 there have been 2 Closed transaction at The Coronado Condominium. One sale was of an alcove studio that closed at the beginning of the year and the other was a 3 Bedroom apartment closing in February of 2011.
- Apartment 8H-Closed for $530,000. Originally on the market for $650,000. It is 617 sq ft, selling for approximately $858 sq/ft.
- Apartment 9B-Closed for $1,610,000. Originally on the market for $1,675,000. It is 1381 sq ft. This was a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom apartment that sold at approximately $1,165 sq/ft.
There hasn't been that much inventory on the market, a reflection of the desirable nature of owner's staying in their apartments within the building.
Currently there are three individual apartments on the market and two of those are being offered as a combination sale on the PH4-Floor.
A One Bedroom penthouse asking $1,650,000, a Three Bedroom Penthouse asking $4,250,000. The combination of both of those apartments asking $5,900,000. And a Three bedroom on the 6th floor asking a more modest $2,250,000.
