Back in the 1980's when many of you were babies or weren't even born yet, many companies were putting in all kinds of quality programs to save money. This was mainly done in manufacturing and who knows, they may still be doing these kinds of things in China where all the manufacturing jobs are today.
The program that stuck for me (and my wife who likes to bring it up occasionally) is the "Do it Right the First Time!" program. The consultants that dreamed up this program developed all kinds of banners and statistics to help us think about how much time and money we could save if we just did it right the first time.
It is a simple concept and is as true today as it was back then.
Take a few extra minutes, get some help if needed, do some research if needed and do it right the first time and you will have tons more time in the future. The time and money you will save not having to fix mistakes is huge.
