A shout out to William this morning. If you haven't seen his photography, it's worth a look. He says it's dumb luck, as he has taken up photograpy as a hobby. The Salk Institute
Ever since I have taken up photography as a hobby, I have thought about this shot of the Salk Institute in La Jolla and the timing never seemed to be right to get it. There were always too many people around and walking through the shot. It is after all a busy workplace during the week and the access gates are always closed on weekends. This afternoon, I decided to try again and when I arrived there seemed to be a flurry of activity. I was setting up the tripod and all of sudden the shot was mine to take. Patience has its rewards if you don't fail to discount just pure dumb luck.
