Pasco County Florida ballots are English only

Recently i found out that Pasco county doesn't need to print voting material in spanish this year.  The Fed says that if more than 5% of the voting population is of a language then that language has to be on the ballots.  BUT if the literacy rate for those people is high enough in English then that county is exempt.  Which is what's happening in Pasco County.  Counties are currently required to balance their budgets each year, so this is good for the county as it saves them about $100k a year in expenses.  They also say the change shouldn't affect the outcome of elections.

I wish the federal government was required to balance their budget too.  That way the amount we would be paying right now in taxes would be so painfully high the public would actually vote for those who want to cut government spending.

We sold more real estate in 2006-2009 than any other realtor office in the Tampa area according to the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors. We can help you too.
