Twin Cities/Woodbury Relocation - Durham Executive Group
In reading a publication called the 'Opus College of Business News' from the University of St. Thomas and authored by Grace Hertel I learned even more about why Minnesota and the Twin Cities rank so well in nationwide rankings in a variety of interesting ways. I thought this article was worthy of writing a short Twin Cities/Woodbury Relocation blog. In the article Grace Hertel quotes a number of sources that rank Minnesota very high, which I will make an effort to point out.
1. Publications such as Forbes and Entrepreneur Magazine have recognized Minnesota as an ideal spot for business. Forbes magazine recently identified Twin Cites as one of the top job markets in the nation and the best metro area for job seekers. Minnesota was also ranked as one of the best cities for young professionals.
2. Bicycling magazine and U.S. News have referenced Minnesota to be one of the most ideal places to live.
3. The American College of Sports Medicine named Minneapolis - St. Paul the healthiest, fittest cities in the United States.
4. This year, Minneapolis was crowned 'America's Best Bike City' by Bicycling magazine.
5. The Twin Cities was rated the second cleanest city in America by Travel and Leisure magazine.
There are many other top rankings Grace points out including the Twin Cities ranking as the most fun city in the United States, the fifth best public transportation, and Minnesota being the sixth healthiest real estate market for 2011.
All the above adds up to a lot of 'WOW'. Hopefully anyone contemplating relocating to Minneapolis/St. Paul and Greater Metro researches these points, as well as many others prior to making their decision.
