Insects, moisture, damage, plants aroud structure.

Over the last several  inspections i have done lately I seem to find on most homes the vegetation / plants around the exterior are climbing up the home or just planted so close that they are in contact with the structure.   I realize that these plants are pleasing to the eye , but they are actually damaging the structure behind as they promote fungal growth on areas  where moisture accumulates and gives insects a direct conduit to your home.  It is good to keep all vegetation one foot away from the home to help prevent costly repairs due to damage.
