ArtWalk Nashua returns this Saturday November 5th from noon to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 6th from noon to 4:00.
Local artists will open their studios, galleries and businesses to visitors.
ArtWalk Nashua is a wonderful opportunity to meet Nashua artists and get a head start on holiday shopping, while at the same time supporting local talent.
The Millyard District is one of my favorite places to visit during the Art Walk. Visitors will be able to visit studios and galleries in the Picker Building (located at 99 Factory Street). Also, you can enjoy viewing art, pottery, jewelry, stained glass, photography, paintings and fine art. Venues include the Nashua Public Library, Indian Head Plaza, 55 Lake Street Studios, and Studio 99.
Nashua downtown businesses will be hosting artists in their shops. Participating artists include members of the Hollis Arts Society, Nashua Area Artists Association, League of NH Craftsmen, and many local independent artists and artisans.
Musical entertainment will be offered as well. Musicians include Ashley Addington, Molly Wood, Eclectic Wind Quintet, Resonance Chamber Music, Steady Hands Guitar Studio, Jake Smith, Yolanda Becker, and Triple Shot Factory Funk. Community Music School will offer an African Drumming workshop and Beck's Art Express will be offering children's art workshops on Saturday at Indian Head Plaza. A Zentangle workshop will be offered at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at the Library. Meri Goyette will be signing copies of her new book, Nashua: People and Places, at 100 Main Street.
RJ Finlay & Co., the new owners of One Indian Head Plaza, have offered open space in their building for programming and free parking for this year's ArtWalk
There are many more venues, events and participants which you can check out at the Art Walk Website to find a map, view a full list of venues and check out the schedule of many more events.
