It's November in St Paul, MN and the ground is clear of snow...but the wind is howling and the leaves are deep and dry. So how is it croquet season?
I was cleaning out the shed this morning, getting ready for the onslaught of winter, and I ran across our croquet set that has seen better days. Since I had a roaring fire going in the firepit I decided I would put the set out of its misery and burn it up. But as I was walking over to the fire I had an idea. The croquet balls would make a really cute and unexpected centerpiece for the kitchen table. It will make me remember summer and feel happy all winter long.
As I work with clients to stage their homes for sale in St Paul, MN I encourage them to think outside the box too. Maybe the bedroom has too much furniture, and they could really use a sofa table in the family room. What do you know, sometimes an old dresser can be re-purposed into a sofa table!
That is what I love about real estate staging. Every home is a little different, and every project requires you to bring your creativity to the job. Staging is my passion. It is such a win, win, win scenerio.
- The homeowners are happy because they have a plan for preparing their home for market,
- the listing agent is happy because he/she knows the house will be ready to market,
- and I win because I can make a living doing what I love.
What else can I do with these awesome croque balls? I'd love to hear your ideas.
Make It A Good One!
