As Thanksgiving approaches, the time has come to think about what we are thankful for. I am really impressed by the trend on Facebook to post something each day until Thanksgiving about what one is thankful for. I haven’t joined that trend, because I don’t really post on FB daily. But it is lifting to see it when I am scanning over others status updates every few days. Thanks folks, for making me smile…
What I am thankful for is simple: Family, Friends, Faith. Three small words, but such that covers the big picture very well, I think.
Family: My kids, my husband, my parents, my brother, my in-laws… the list goes on. I am so blessed to have these people in my live.
Friends: It speaks for itself. Some people are in our lives through our birth. They are our family. Others come into our life by chance, but the meaning of these relationships runs deep. These types of special friends, I am so thankful for. And even for a helpful acquaintance that I might not know well. For the folks who serve coffee with a smile. Thank you. You are all special.
Faith: I am thankful that God is the center of my life. I am thankful that Christ died for me and all of us. I am thankful for my church and my husband’s ministry, and I am very thankful that I can worship freely with my family in a country with religious liberty.
There is so much to be thankful for. Thanks to ActiveRain for encouraging these thankful topics. May God’s blessing rest upon all who read this! Cheers!
