The last few years I have been concentrating on building the business, helping my daughter (a single parent) with my grandson, selling our home of 18 years and, now, rehabbing the little bank owned property we recently purchased. Wow, what a whirlwind!
But now I’ve suddenly realized, I’ve neglected myself. I had literally quit exercising, I’ve gained a good 20 lbs (boy it hurts to admit that publicly), and I’ve neglected my ‘me time’.
Well, that’s changing. It’s great to do all the things I’ve been doing but neglecting my health is not. And after hearing that the size of your waist predicts how long you are going to live, I decided I’d better get busy!
I’ve joined Weight Watchers and I AM going to lose at least 25 pounds. I have a goal to begin walking and jogging with a goal to be able to run 1 mile 4 times per week with my grandson. And I’’m going to actually schedule some me time each week, even if it is only 1 or 2 hours. And, I'm going to do some travel to see the rest of the Grandkids.
I can feel the effects already and it feels great!
