Don't Worry Be Happy Is More Than Just A Song

Worry FaceI was thinking with some clients going through the distressed home sale on the Seller side how all these pressures in life, whether they be financial, health, or relationship can just eat you up inside if you let it. And then thinking musical that

Don't Worry Be Happy Is More Than Just A Song.

Sometimes that song has annoyed me. Who cares about the happy? Give people more money then they could dig out of the mess. More wellness and then being sick would not be so draining. More love and inside all feels good again. But happy stickers all over your face they mean to get off the WORRY track. Cause worry is very draining.

Worry is a road not to go down, while natural of course, we need to steer our thoughts in other directions.

Worry GraphYou want to pick the ALTERNATE road to the worry road, and it is called the SERENITY road.

You do this by the sifting into two categories. You change things you can change, and you ACCEPT and let go of things out of your control and don't worry. It really is that simple. Surely a let go and let God more approach. I leave you with this quote on worry from Corrie Ten Boom:

"Worrying is carrying tomorrow's load with today's strength -carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn't empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength."

Gary,

Worrying without taking action is submission to your problems.

"Worrying is carrying tomorrow's load with today's strength -carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn't empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength."

That's to good not to repeat! When tomorrow does come the worry will find his load is cumulative!

Hi Gary,

I love the Boom quote at the end.  My poor Mom suffers from GAD (generalized anxiety disorder). It's so sad, she is worried and afraid - every single day of her life. (And always has been as long as I can remember). I have vowed to choose another route. Thanks for another thought provoking post. D
