moving to iPhone is a scary thing...

I am a Verizon user and therefore a Droid person (no iPhones two years ago at V).  But I am also a MAC person.  I'm due for a new phone in February, and I have really been agonizing about whether or not to change.  The visual aspect of life makes a huge difference to me, and whenever I see someone on their iPhone, I get all excited.  But, I love GMAIL.  What to do?  I just read that Apple is finally releasing a Gmail App....  I still have some further research to do, but this great news.

(an iPad may be in my future, too)

I use GMAIL, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Picasa and other GOOGLE based products all on my iPhone.  I've considered moving to an HTC Evo which actually runs the google operating system, but get really torn on whether to go with the newest iPhone or move to the Evo and so I stay on my perfectly serviceable iPhone (serviceable other than being tethered to AT&T that is)!

Virginia,

Technology changes can be challenging. We can become so comfortable with certain applications. Fortunately iphone has attracted so many developers you're not likely to miss out. I'm surprised a gmail app isn't already available.

Not sent from my iphone. lol

Hi Ron, well that's good to know that you can use all of those without too much trouble.  I think the app probably provides the full set of functions?

Steve, you are very funny...

Good evening Virginia. I am a not so happy Droid user that has also been thinking on going to the Iphone. I will be watching your blog to see how you like it.

Hey Randy, doesn't it make you crazy?  I was such a Droid fan at first.  Maybe it's because I was the first one there for the first Droid and the technology has changed SO DRAMATICALLY over the past 2 years, but I'm really not a thrilled Droid camper these days either...

Once you make the switch, you'll wonder why it took you so long.   I switched over last year, and even though I had some learning curve, I absolutely love my Iphone.
