If you think about it, your entire career revolves around good customer service. Without it, you wouldn't have any customers, therefore, no job.
I began compiling a list this morning of Realtor's customer service strategies used on a daily basis that impact the strength of one's customer service; things many people probably don't even think about.
Sources of information increase the spread of your marketing. It's important to fit the niche of all customers. The way the world is evolving today with different technologies, some customers prefer to learn property information one way over another. If you aren't providing the right type of service that they like to use, you might miss out on capturing them as a potential client. Below is some examples:
- Yard Signs
- Flyers
- Technology tools; text for info, call for info, tune in for info
- Classified ads in newspapers, industry print media
- Websites
- Email
- Office phone
- Cell phone via call or text, Treos, Blackberrys
- I've even seen agents post their home phone numbers
- Face to face
Other important strategies to consider:
- Personable attitude
- Post sale communication
By utilizing great customer service, the higher the chances of gaining your old customers back, and also gaining their referrals. It's much easier to ask for referrals when you know you've done a good job. At the end of your contract, ask your customers how you could have served them better and take those responses into consideration as you further your career.
What are some of your best customer service skills and what do you struggle with most?
Best of luck and put on your happy face!
