Walking a Labyrinth

Walking a Labyrinth

The sacred journey of life twists and turns much like a labyrinth.  Life is always changing and we are always growing and discovering new things about ourselves.  When you walk a labyrinth it is a reminder that we always end up right where we need to be. Walking a labyrinth is a model of our path of life.

Walking a labyrinth is an ancient practice that has been used for over 4000 years. It can aid healing, release grief and help in decision making. A labyrinth has one way in and one way out. It is not a maze and you will not get led into a dead end. It will always lead you exactly where you need to go. The path that takes you in is the path that will lead you out.

I was able to walk a beautiful labyrinth this last weekend.  It took about 30 minutes to walk and it cleared my mind and brought peace to my heart. It reminded me that if we keep moving forward no matter where we are in life we will get to where we need to go.  All we have to do is keep moving and never give up.

Amy -  Well I admit I'm not sure what a labyrinth is and yes I will Google it but I do keep walking and looking forward in all aspects of life.

I do the very same thing in my walk with Jesus. I study His word, pray, and listen as He guides my steps. Sometimes I don't do a very good job and I walk without him and get lost. But He is there.. I just have to call on him. ;))) XOXO

Amy - What a lovely photo!  I have to agree with Joni.  If I stay on the path, all is well.  I don't always manage to stay on the path, but I know who to run to when I have lost my way.  Have a happy day!

Amy I enjoy walking them as well.  There is a really cool one up in Sedona (at the Lodge) that alwasy quiets me down and brings such peace and clarity.  I feel like I walked one today as I had to deal with an 'interesting' attorney situtaion and it simply didn't get all nuts about it.  Peace!

Dear Amy - I am truly inspired by how you beautifully motivate us & help us with your words.   Thank you & I will have to look & see if we have one here in Florida....I usually find the walk by the river or on the beach is helpful...but love the message & would try such a path of inspiration as you suggest.

Amy what a great photo, i have enjoyed your blog as of late as it brings some balance from the ultra high stress of dealing with all these bank owned listings i have. We dont have anything like that here in NH (at least that i know of). It sure would be great about now to walk one. have a great day

Pam,  believing the path will lead you to where you need to go is the challenge. We just need to hold the faith as you suggest.

Oh Amy, you have such a gift and I am so benefited by it. We have a beautiful labyrinth up at the base of Mount Shasta. I walk it each time we visit. The power is beautiful and it has been crucial for us both to experience the power of Mount Shasta. Have a beautiful day!
