Change Is Inevitable...But Change Is Good!

By
Real Estate Agent with Meritus Group Real Estate SD 14808

In life there are few things that we can really count on besides death and taxes. But there is another that I could add to that list. Change. Change is everywhere. Changing schedules. Changing jobs. Changing homes. Changing clothes. Life changes and this is just something that we have to accept and deal with. Some changes we make for ourselves and some are thrown into our face and we have to pick up the pieces and run from there. Sometimes we make a change even though we don’t really want to because we know that it is best for us. When we realize that we are a square peg in a round hole and sometimes it is necessary to change to find peace.

It is with this in mind that I recently changed brokerages. I loved my coworkers, they were all wonderful but I knew the fit was not right. There was one person in particular that it was painful to leave. She was there for me whenever I needed her and she was more then just a mentor she was my friend and confidant. I hope that she understands that I only did what I thought was best for me. I am going to miss you to pieces J.J.

But in the meantime I am looking onward and upward towards better opportunities.  I hope everyone is having a prosperous week as I am buried in paperwork!

Hello Rosalie,

I found your post on change especially relavent, given your location. My son was just sent up to your city and is going torough quite a bit of change and withdrawal, being sent there from Southern California. While I've lived everywhere from big cities to small towns he is finding the change hard to take, but I know he will find a way.

We all have to make the best of our situations and work toward what we will find to be the best for us. Plan, move on, and look for the best, and best wishes to you.

Karen- I so agree! The older I get the more I evolve as a person! I sure wish I could take the knowledge that I have now and go back in a time machine. But then again those experieces made me the person I am today so maybe not!

Lottie- Sadly not my own picture but one off of morguefile! I loved it to because it looks just like South Dakota! I know some people think less of my state because of our weather but I love it! I love the change of seasons and the people here! I love Sioux Falls! I also liked the picture because it represents a new begining! :)

We recently had an agent leave our brokerage for another and, although we all miss him, we understood why he needed to to so.  Not everyone thrives in the same type of environment! Good luck in your new brokerage!

Hi Rosalie,

That must have still been hard to make this decision.  But it is good to recognize what needs to be done to improve your situation and face/accept the change that comes with it. Good luck with the change in brokerage.  Change can be exciting too!

Congrats on the move.  Maybe the co-worker you hated to leave at the other brokerage will see the same benefits you saw in the new place and follow you.
