Docusign helping design a life....Really???
I’ve had the wonderful experience of using DocuSign since 2008- and this program has saved me more than 3 hours a week since I’ve started using it! I remember the instances of having to drive to my client’s house in rush hour traffic to explain a purchase agreement and walk them through every initial and signature. That experience alone and including drive time would sometimes be a 3-hour ordeal- that doesn’t include meeting to sign counter offers, addendums or disclosures. Boy, has my business changed! For starters, I now set clear expectations up front by giving them a sample contract the very first time I meet with them and tell them to review it- so there will be no surprises or unanswered questions when we are down to the wire for signatures and up against a deadline for getting our offer submitted. This simple step makes my life so much easier. The second time we meet, perhaps before we look at houses, or while in the car driving from house to house we discuss the sample contract and answer any questions they have. This makes it for a simple process for the first time they sign a contract electronically. They already know what to expect and what to look for… DocuSign was the first step for me to set up efficient systems into my business. The time it has saved me has allowed me to do more business. For which I am forever grateful!
If I had an additional 3 hours, I would...
However, to answer the question if I could save an additional 3+ hours per week I would spend that time vision casting for my business and personal life. I would spend the time ON my life, rather than IN my life. Simple things that make such a difference like reviewing the progress on my short term and long-term goals or being diligent about designing the life I want are the things that I need to make time to do. I know that if I am constantly aware of the road map I am creating for my life, the better chances I have at accomplishing and achieving what I want out of life. It is so easy to get caught up in the everyday activities of life that days, months and years go by before we wake up and ask ourselves “How did I get HERE?.” This time will allow me to get out of my “reactive mode” and become purposeful about being “proactive”. If I could commit 3 hours to looking inward, soul searching, reviewing my plan, measuring my progress, “right siding the ship”- I feel positive that I will constantly improve and move in a forward positive direction in life.
