Do you have a teenager in your household that is beginning to drive? If so take a moment and read this post by Yvonne it may come in handy for you as a parent.
Thanks Yvonne!
Well there is GREAT NEWS for parents who have driving teenagers. Believe it not it is a FREE SERVICE when you have your insurance placed with AAA. I recently met with Kim Kruger, an agent with AAA who let me know about this because I have plenty of friends who have kids who are beginning to drive. Amazingly, it wasn’t that long ago, I was at the hospital waiting hold a brand new baby! Now we are going to Sweet 16 parties and watching them learn to drive.
We can’t help but wonder if they will a responsible driver, we can hope though!
· AAA Onboard for Teen drivers allows the parent to set speed thresholds, driving area boundaries and curfew alerts for their teen driver. What happens when they get a little free spirited, you can have an email or text sent to you if these alerts are triggered, AWESOME!!!
· You can go online and get the reports of your teen’s driving habits, that should help encourage great dialogue. Truthfully, some adults need this service!
· AAA Onboard sends your vehicle location when calling for roadside assistance, for the teen driver.
This AAA OnBoard program is FREE to AAA policy* holders currently and may help you make your teen a safer driver.
*AAA OnBoard is a pilot program to test new member services and is available to members that have a teen driver insured through AAA. The pilot program is available for a limited time and while supplies last. The services are dependent on the wireless and GPS coverage in your specific area. I would highly recommend giving Kim Kruger with AAA service a call and she can tell you about AAA OnBoard . Kim, can help you if you are in the state Missouri.
Yes, this is a service I highly endorse!!!!
This blog is written in the hopes lives are saved and anyone who can, will explores this as an option to open the dialogue and give guidance to those young drivers who are becoming adults!
