Most Realtors today have a facebook page for their business but only a few actually use it to promote their listings. I agree that only using your page to promote your listings could be annoying to your fans. However there is a balance and posting your listing updates and open houses can benefit your fans as well.
Most of your fans would most likely be the people that live in the neighborhoods that you sell. They probaly like to be updated about what's going on the neighborhood and follow your page to get updates about local businesses, farmers markets, community updates, etc. Because you do update them on those things, right?
I bet they're also curious about what the house down the street sold for, or what open houses you have next weekend. We're all curious and like an opportunity to peek into our neighbors houses.
Now, why would that be important to you? Why would you let them know on facebook? Well, what if they know a friend that's looking for a house, maybe they can quickly advertise it on their wall. Maybe they have something nice to say about you on that faceboo page.
There's tremendous value to sporadically update you facebook fans on your listing inventory and open hosues.
Do you agree? If you do and want to get started, we make promoting your listing on facebook really really easy. Check this out and let me know what you think on the comments.
