What does a brand mean to you when it comes to choosing your Realtor?  Does the size of the organization really matter or is it something else?  Read more here on why it's all in the person....

When you choose a Realtor, does the size of the Brokerage really matter to you or is it the person and the relationship you have built?  Is it the ease with which you can talk?  Does the person show knowledge of the market?

What you need is not a big company's logo to have a successful real estate transaction.  What you do need is a person who can prove some of the following characteristics:

  1. How long has your agent worked selling homes in their current location?
  2. Is your agent a great listener?  
  3. Are they trying to sell you on what THEY think you want vs. what YOU really want?
  4. Does you agent listen and understand when it comes to your goals?
  5. If buying, are the listings being sent to you make sense? Does the agent know how to answer your questions about the city, neighborhood or complex you are looking into?
  6. If selling, does the marketing plan use modern-day technology and tools?  Will you home be on the Internet?  Have its own website?
  7. How Internet savvy is your agent?  Do they have a great website you can actually use?  Is it usable on your smart phone?  
  8. Does your agent have some real testimonials from past clients they can show you?
  9. Have you Googled this person to see what comes up on the Internet?  Try it!  Let Me Google That For You
  10. Do you LIKE this person?  Let's face it, you won't be sleeping with them but you will be spending a great deal of time together so please have a sense that being in their presence isn't making you feel as though someone just drug their nails down a blackboard.
