Katy Texas Whole City Garage Sale

I personally think this is a very cool idea and will help to eliminate unwanted and unsightly junk from the City. The entire City of Katy Texas is holding a garage sale on Saturday November 19, 2011. Keep Katy Beautiful group will supply yard signs to residents who want to participate. Home owners can sell their items in their yards or on driveways or garages. I wish the neighborhoods surrounding Old Katy would come up with a similar idea. Right now it is more of a subdivision by subdivision event and all held on different days.

What a great idea I agree they all have gargage sales on different days it would be more of a destination event for 1 day!

Bob, a City or Town wide garage sure are mighty fine ideas. The Town which I live in has one every year, usually in July. Folks even come here from other States to find things which they might be able to use.
