Sandwich MA real estate owners and perhaps would be buyers should Check here for the no plow list recently issued by the town. Doorknob hangers were put on all homes on affected streets. 21 roads removed from the original plow list have submitted a Winter Maintenance Petition. 7 of those 21 petitions have been denied for various maintenance issues.
This list does not include all privately owned roads or Sandwich MA real estate currently not receiving winter maintenance from the Town.
According to the Town, vegetation must be cleared to provide a fourteen-foot vertical clearance and four-foot shoulder clearance on both sides of the roadway. Edge of pavement should be delineated and vehicles should be parked six feet from edge of pavement.
Sandwich MA covers a lot of real estate and many roads are difficult to plow under normal circumstances. But residents should be given time to correct any issues prior to the winter weather arriving. River Farm Properties, LLC thought this information was valuable and timely to share.
