Day 10: Thankful for Mom and Dad (Be Thankful Challenge)

Today I’m thankful for my Mom & Dad.

They drove all the way from South Dakota out to Colorado to pay us a visit this weekend. I love my parents and am thankful beyond words for all they’ve done for me in my lifetime to make me the woman I am today. They’re just plain great!

This trip was so much fun with them. They came toting a cooler full of good SD beef steaks and a roast, wine and Wisconsin beer, home made cookies and their Italian ravioli pan to make home made raviolis. Can you tell we’re a cooking family?

We went for many walks, played Scrabble (I won three times!), went shopping, and Dad even taught me how to knit! It was a fun weekend, and I’m so thankful for them!

Didi I am so thankful for my parents as well. They are my support and they always believe when some days I don't believe I can get something done. We enjoy the times we have here together and cherrish everyday I see them.

Hi Didi,

My parents have passed on now but I still miss them everyday and remember what great parents they were. How unselfish, loving, devoted to each other and to me, and raised me with high morals and ethics. They made me go to college and if they hadn't pushed me, I would not have gone. I really miss them on the holidays but we still have my mother-in-law and she is a blessing.

So glad your parents came to see you. Enjoy the steaks and have a Happy Thanksgiving Day!
