Day 11: Thankful for Winter Walks (Be Thankful Challenge)

Winter WalksBrrrrrrrrr…. It’s been cold in Colorado!  But that hasn’t stopped me from going for numerous winter walks with the doggies, and my visiting parents.  As my parents were preparing for their visit last weekend, I told them to pack warm clothes as it’s going to be full-on winter in the mountains.

They did, and we were able to spend a good amount of time outside despite the cold temps, wind and snow.  The dogs love it, and so do I.  Winter walks are so refreshing.  I love the way the winter air makes my cheeks rosy.  And I love the warmth of my house when I return from a brisk walk.

Nothing like warming up by the fire place after a cold winter walk!

Well, I would love winter walks too...only it's 80 degrees and humid as heck!  Keep enjoying yours and we'll live vicariously through you!

Oh, Tammy!  80 degrees?!  Yikes!  I'll definitely enjoy an extra long cold walk just for you!

Didi,

The cold temps are so bad for Cherise and me.  It's when the wind decides to act up and to make our journey a little unbearable... g

Hi Didi,

I love the cool crisp mornings and taking my dog for a walk. I have to keep any eye out for coyotes though as they are staying awake longer in the mornings now as they are hungry? I would hate for one of my babies to get attacked. I wait until about 9:30 a.m. as my last coyote siting was at 9:00 a.m. seveal weeks ago.
